Rainbow Challenge

7 May 2020 (by Vicky)

Hello everyone!

We hope that you are all keeping well and are managing your home learning ok. Everybody at Sugar Hill appreciates that this is a difficult time for you all so to try and brighten up everyone’s spirits Mrs Noble and I would like to set you slightly different challenge.

As we are all aware, the rainbow has become a symbol of solidarity and hope throughout the past few months. Therefore, we think that all children at Sugar Hill can collaborate to produce our very own rainbow to help show support for all key workers and to bring a smile to people’s faces. In order to do this, you simply have to dress up head-to-toe (background included if possible) in your chosen colour from the rainbow. See the colours of the rainbow above to help you make your choice. Obviously, you are not required to go out and purchase anything or to order anything online. Simply be creative and use what is in your home!

Once you have done this, get someone in your household to take a photograph and email it to the school’s email address: sugarhill@durhamlearning.net

The photographs will then be collated to create our very own amazing rainbow. Please be aware that the final product will be uploaded to the school website and other publications so only send photographs if you are happy for your child to be part of this. Remember! You are only dressing up in one colour from red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple or pink, although you can use various shades of that colour. There are some images at the bottom of this message to give you an idea.

We look forward to demonstrating your creativity and putting a smile on all of our faces.

Stay safe!

Mr Jones & Mrs Noble
