Welcome back to our extra busy Summer Term.

I hope you all had a lovely Easter break. The children are back, settled and ready for their Summer Term Project. We already can’t wait to see you at the Showcases in July.

There is so much happening I have added the new list of dates so that you will have these for the whole of the term.

More information will follow for some of the events closer to the time.

Summer Term Dates

Monday 2^nd May- May Day Bank Holiday- not in school, return Tuesday 3^rd May

Week beginning 9^th May- Year 6 SATs

Friday 20^th May- Red Sky Foundation Charity Day- dressing in red. This is a new Charity we are supporting to raise money for a defibrillator in school

Monday 6^th June- PD day- children not in school- return Tuesday 7^th June

Thursday 9^th June- Jubilee Family Picnic at 2pm- more details will follow soon

Thursday 23^rd June- Meeting for Reception parents with children moving to Y1

Week beginning 4^th July Show case Weeks

Tuesday 5^th July- SAT result day

Friday 8^th July- Reports with new classes for the next academic year will be sent home

Friday 15^th July- Colour Run

Week beginning 18^th July- Transition Week – 3 days in new classes

Thursday 21^st July- End of Term

Return to school – Wednesday 7^th September 2022

COVID 19

New DfE guidance from April 2022 states that from now the isolation period is 3 days for children from their first positive day and 5 days for adults. There is now no requirement for two negative LFTs.

This is only guidance but we do ask that this is followed so that we can keep numbers low.

Attendance is now only recorded as an illness- there is no mark specifically for COVID.

Reminders

Uniform

Please remember trainers are not part of school uniform. School shoes should be all black, trousers and skirts grey or black and a green sweatshirt/cardigan.

The children will be asked to wear plimsols in school if trainers are worn.

Sugar Hill Coffee Stop

The coffee stop will continue to be open every Tuesday morning this half term in the dining room from 9.05am to 10.00am. Come to Entrance B as soon as you have dropped the children off and start your day with a cuppa, toast and a chat.

School Lunch price increase

From 4^th April 2022 the price of a school lunch has risen to £2.20 per day- £11.00 per week.
