I know I say this every week but I really can’t believe how fast the time is going and that we are the end of another half term.

It has been so busy with the Y6 and Y2 SATs taking place. The children have worked very hard and we are all very proud.

The children across school have been working on their Projects and getting ready for the next Showcases in July.

Next half term is very busy with the Jubilee Picnic, sports/games week, the colour run, Showcases and various visits planned across school, a really exciting last half term.

Thursday 9^th June- Jubilee Family Picnic at 2pm

Thursday 23^rd June- Meeting for Reception parents with children moving to Y1

Week beginning 27^th June- Sport/games week

Friday 1^st July- Colour Run

Week beginning 4^th July Show case Weeks

Tuesday 5^th July- SAT result day

Friday 8^th July- Reports and new classes home

Week beginning 18^th July- Transition Week – 3 days in new classes

Thursday 21^st July- End of Term

Return to school – Wednesday 7^th September 2022

 COVID 19.

New DfE guidance from April 2022 states that from now the isolation period is 3 days for children from their first positive day and 5 days for adults. There is now no requirement for two negative LFTs.

This is only guidance but we do ask that this is followed so that we can keep numbers low.

Attendance is now only recorded as an illness- there is no mark specifically for COVID.

PE Days

Please remember that the children need to wear their school uniform on the top half and where possible, black, grey or green shorts, tracksuit bottoms or leggings only. Suitable footwear/trainers must be worn for PE activity.

Medical Appointments.

If your child has a medical appointment during the school day, please could you send a screen shot of the appointment letter or text confirmation and send it to us at sugarhilladmin@durhamlearning.net

Sugar Hill Coffee Stop.

The coffee stop will continue to be open every Tuesday morning this half term in the dining room from 9.05am to 10.00am. Come to Entrance B as soon as you have dropped the children off.
