Newsletter 17th September 2021

21 September 2021 (by Vicky)

Dear Parents/carers

Hello everyone, another Friday is upon us. The children have been really busy this week continuing to use the book” It’s Your World Now” to learn about resilience and striving to do their best. They have had a lovely “settling in” couple of weeks before starting their new Projects next week.

Information on our new Project curriculum will be shared in the Welcome Meetings and in leaflets being sent home soon.

Welcome Meetings

It will be lovely to see you in school again next week, where you can see your child’s class in action.

Please note these are not individual meetings for parents/carers. If you need to speak to class teachers please ring to make an appointment for another time.

We will be holding Parent Meetings later this term.

KS1 0ne-way system at home time

Thank you for taking on board my requests this week. It is working well.

I have been approached by a member of the public, in a very irate manner, complaining about walking up the path on a morning. It was claimed that when she had said excuse me that she was met with abuse.

Please remember that the path is a public highway so please you line up against the fence so that people can get past if needed. Once your child has entered school, please leave the entrance so that it clears quickly.

I feel that we do this really well but I wanted to pass this on so that you are aware of the concern. Thank you for your support in this.

COVID

This is certainly still with us. There have been cases in school so please stay vigilant for any symptoms in your children. If someone in your household has COVID please test the children before sending them into school. Thank you for your support in this.

You must contact Test and Trace if a result is positive so that close contacts can be advised.

We are still using the sanitising canisters each week and ensuring all cleaning and hygiene routines are adhered to rigorously.

It will be greatly appreciated if you can wear masks in school during the welcome meetings, next week. Thank you

Reminders

Parking and stopping on zig zag lines remains an issue. Please think before stopping as your number will be taken and passed to the police.

Please ensure you ring school before dropping forgotten items off at the office or if you are going to be late.

Please try to encourage the children to remember what they need for the day. This was brilliant through the COVID restrictions.

Please continue to ring the main office if you are going to be late or have anything to drop off at the office during the day. The phones are on from 8.30am each morning until 4.30pm after school, Monday to Thursday and 4pm each Friday.

Dates

Welcome Meetings – week beginning 20th September

Early Years Stay and Play – week beginning 20th September

Thank you for your continued support. Please do not hesitate to ring or email with any questions.

Have a lovely weekend.
